In May 2022, I was a producer on a TV show called ‘The Cumbrian Morning. This was a University project and was my second major role as a producer. Like with the short film, I was in charge of overseeing the entire production, creating schedules, call sheets, risk assessments, finding and getting permission for locations, casting, creating and sourcing props, making set plans, sourcing costumes and getting equipment in order to film. Across the project, I have learned the role and responsibilities of a producer throughout the production of a TV show, and how this is integral to create a high quality TV show. I have also learned how to create and format documentation for a TV Show at a high level. Also, I have further improved my management of talent and crew on and off the set. I found out from this project that I prefer producing shot films rather than TV shows.
